Mabini NHS makes a debut victory

Mabini National High School, in its first time, emerged as champion when it bested the 13 other contenders during the “Sinaot Sa Cadiznon Merry Making Contest” last January 19.


The MNHS received P70,000 cash and a trophy. It also captured the Best in Performance and Best in Choreography awards. Each award has P10,000 cash and a trophy.


The Philippine Normal University Visayas, the last year’s champion, landed first runner Up and took home P60,000.00 cash and a trophy, while the Tiglawigan National High School, second runner Up, P50,000.00 cash and a trophy;


Villacin National High School, third runner Up, P40,000.00 cash and a trophy; and, North Negros College, fourth runner up, P30,000.00 cash and a trophy.


The VNHS also grabbed the Best in Costume and got P10,000.00 cash and a trophy; PNUV, Best in Street Dance, P10,000.00 cash and a trophy; and Jerusalem National High School, Best in Concept Award, P5,000.00 cash and a trophy.


Other participating schools were Sicaba National High School, Sewahon Extension High School, Faraon Institute, Caduhaan National High School, Burgos National High School, Luna Extension High School, Holy Infant Academy, and Banquerohan National High School.


All participating schools were given P10,000.00 cash each for endurance.


The “Sinaot Sa Cadiznon Merry Making Contest” was part of the 46th Dinagsa Festival 2020 celebration./*
